1. Agreement

By accessing dailydrive.life ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore with registered address at 18 Boon Tat Street, #03-02, Singapore 069619.

2. The service

DailyDrive publishes a weekday morning news briefing focused on Singapore — politics, markets, city news, and explainers. Public pages are available without charge. Membership features, including early briefing delivery, audio summaries, and archive access, require a paid subscription from S$6 per month as described on the Site.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We will endeavour to give members reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid features.

3. Account and membership

If you subscribe to membership, you agree to provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Membership renews monthly unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds for partial months are not offered unless required by applicable consumer law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or engage in conduct harmful to other users or our editorial operations.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, layout, audio summaries, and compilation of headlines — is owned by DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may read and share links to our articles freely. Brief quotations with clear attribution and a hyperlink to the original article are permitted for non-commercial purposes. Republication of substantial portions, systematic scraping, or commercial reuse requires prior written permission from [email protected].

You may not: copy or redistribute our briefing as a competing product; use automated tools to harvest content at scale; remove copyright notices; or misrepresent our content as your own.

5. User submissions

When you submit story tips, correction requests, or contact messages, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that material for editorial and operational purposes. You represent that your submission does not infringe third-party rights and is not defamatory, harassing, or unlawful.

We are not obliged to publish, respond to, or compensate you for submissions. We do not accept unsolicited article drafts for publication.

6. Editorial disclaimer

Our content is journalism and commentary, not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. While we strive for accuracy, news develops quickly and errors may occur. We publish corrections when verified. Do not rely on the Site as your sole source for decisions with legal or financial consequences — consult qualified professionals.

Opinion pieces, where published, are labelled as such and represent the views of the attributed author, not necessarily DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: attempt unauthorised access to our systems or member accounts; interfere with Site operation through malware, denial-of-service, or excessive automated requests; impersonate DailyDrive staff or other users; harvest personal data of other users; use the Site for spam or fraudulent contact form submissions; or circumvent membership paywalls or access controls.

8. Third-party links and services

The Site links to external resources — government gazettes, exchange filings, source documents. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers subject to their own terms.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle personal data under Singapore's PDPA.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd., its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the greater of (a) S$100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd. from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

13. Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the Site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions continue in full force. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd. regarding use of the Site, superseding prior oral or written understandings on the same subject matter.

17. Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to members where required. You may not assign your rights without our prior written consent.

18. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of DailyDrive Media Pte. Ltd.

19. Language

These Terms are drafted in English. If translated versions are provided for convenience, the English version prevails in the event of inconsistency.

20. Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — remain in effect after you stop using the Site or your membership ends.
